One of THE great nights at Beautiful Downtown Bramall Lane - the Blades took a 1-1 draw away from the City Ground in the 1st leg to give them what most thought was an advantage going back to Sheffield.

An awful start saw the Blades fall behind 30 minutes in David Johnson opened the scoring for Forest. Andy Reid made things worse doubling the lead just before the hour mark. The dream of promotion looked to be all but over.

The then prolific Michael Brown pulled one back with a trademark free-kick that took a deflection on the way in just 2 minutes later to give the Blades hope. Substitute, Steve Kabba then pulled a long ball from Paddy Kenny out of the air and volleyed in the leveller.

The tie went into extra time - as the clock ticked over the 111th minute of play, another long ball from Kenny saw the ball land at the feet of the little Canadian magician, Peschisolido. He twisted and turned his way into the box before wrong footing the keeper and slotting home at the near post. Bramall Lane erupted.

Forest's misery was compounded when Des Walker headed into his own goal. Never ones to make it easy for ourselves, Rob Page then notched in his own goal also to pull one back - put the Blades held on and booked their place in the Play Off Final at Cardiff.
